Introduction

The Grace Charitable Foundation strives to contribute to the restoration, development and promotion of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi as a monument of worldwide cultural heritage, officially recognized by UNESCO and the European Union, as well as to provide support for the Monastery’s charitable, social, educational, and academic activities.

Collaboration among people sharing this common interest has led to a number of important initiatives:

• Support for the reconstruction of the historical Athoniada Academy (1750 AD)
• Undertaking of related research and support of numerous academic publications
• Renovation and restoration of Monastery’s anciently renowned buildings
• Utilization of the priceless resources of the Monastery’s abounding library and the digitization of the material therein
• Promotion of the Monastery’s works in art, education, and social welfare

Our strong belief in the Foundation’s great mission motivates us to share our inspiration with individuals and organizations interested in studying, learning, understanding and appreciating the value of this spiritual heritage.

The Grace Charitable Foundation (EIN: 38-3911633) is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code effectively since June 24, 2013. Contributions to The Grace Charitable Foundation are deductible under section 170 of the Code. The Grace Charitable Foundation is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. The Grace Charitable Foundation is further classified as a public charity under section 509(a)(3) of the Code.
